Player Identification Camp

REFUND DEADLINE  

  • FEBRUARY 1, 2026  **NO EXCEPTIONS / SEE BELOW

CAMP CHECK-IN

  • Friday April 10th
  • 45 minutes prior to your first scheduled ice time

EXIT MEETINGS

  • Sunday (20 mins after the last game)
  • Successful players will be offered contracts and a deposit is required at the time of signing

YHA Presentation

The YHA Presentation is geared for the parents / families, while the players participate in the practice session

Topics include - facility tour / academic structure / academy fees (team + travel)

Goalie Session **Important Notice**

U15 Division & U18 Division goalie session prior to the start of camp

 All registered goalies must attend, NO EXCEPTIONS

  • some Goalies will be assigned an "ID Camp" team immediately after this session for further evaluation at practice
  • some Goalies maybe released after the goalie only session
  • some Goalies maybe release after the team practice

Refunds will be provided to those released after each session and reflect the refund amount accordingly

Checking Clinic

We strongly encourage all first year (2012 born) U15 Division players to register and attend the "Checking Clinic".  The checking clinic will reinforce - angling, body position, stick position, ice awareness, receiving a hit and body contact

The Checking Clinic is run by the YHA Hockey Coaches

CAMP ATTENDANCE

All interested players must attend the YHA Hockey ID Camp.  As an organization we feel it is important for players to earn a spot on one of our competitive travel teams.  All scheduled YHA ID Camp sessions are mandatory to attend. Those players that chose not to attend ALL "YHA ID Camp" sessions, will risk being considered for one of the competitive travel teams. 

2026 / 27 Competitive Teams

To be considered for a spot on one of the 26/27 "YHA Hockey" teams, ALL players must register and attend the YHA Hockey ID Camp

Commitments for new players will be done during and immediately following the ID Camp

Player Identification Camp Details

YHA Hockey will have four (4) competitive "Travel Teams" for the 2026/27 season that compete in the CSSHL:

1.  U15

2.  U15 Prep

3.  U17 Prep

4.  U18 Prep

What to expect @ the ID Camp...

  • Each player receives four (4) ice times (1 practice / 3 games)
    • Fri AM - checking clinic (optional) + Goalie Session + Team Practices 
    • Fri + Sat + Sun - round robin games
  • GOALIES ONLY session **see note above
  • Exit Meeting with the YHA Hockey Coaching Staff

Team placements for all rosters, will take place during the ID Camp

YHA ID CAMP CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY

The following refund policy will apply to the YHA ID Camp, within the stated deadlines:

Any cancellation requests must be sent to ethornton@yhahockey.com prior to 12:00PM on February 1, 2026 to receive a refund on your registration payment MINUS a 50% administration fee.

  • ALL cancellations MUST be made in writing, prior to February 1st
  • FULL refunds will be made for medical reasons ONLY
    • A copy of the doctor’s certificate will be required at the time of the refund request
